Communication is the inherent basis for moving well through change, building and retaining community in the process. Change and conflict are essentially the same issue: individuals are being required to react differently, to move ground, to let go of what has been in order to embody what is. And the ability to transition through these states, smoothly and collaboratively, often hinges on how the communication is delivered. It is not possible to advocate a particular outcome and remain fully open to a process unfolding organically, as the first requires holding ground, and the second requires moving with the flow. MEDIATION

is a type of alternative dispute resolution in which the parties involved come together to work out a solution.

Mediation is not arbitration; a mediator does not “decide” who is right, what the terms should be, or how things would be best solved. The solution always results from the parties’ inputs. The mediator acts as a guide, sometimes making critical clarifications, but always remaining a neutral party.

COMMUNICATION

is the foundation of every interpersonal transaction, whether it’s in print or in person, in words or touch.

In order to move from its current state into the new vision, organizations need change agents with communication skills which effectively promote buy-in, demonstrate process transparency, proactively address concerns, and provide a clear vision of and map toward the outcome. I create the bridge from your organization’s current state into its new vision.

FACILITATION

provides a neutral party who ensures that discussion within a larger group goes smoothly and productively.

A Facilitator isn’t just there to listen, nor to hyper-regiment the process, but to artfully balance the discussion, calling out the unspoken and encouraging ideas. S/he needs to be able to keep the process moving forward, simultaneously ensuring that all participants have a fair opportunity for expression.
